A marine working and preservative grease based on high-viscosity cylinder oil thickened with aluminium oleostearate. AMS-3 differs from AMS-1 by its higher thickener content. AMS-1 and AMS-3 have been used by the Navy since the late 1930s. Thanks to its high tackiness and water resistance, AMS-3 is widely used in mechanisms of ships, submarines and seaplanes. It is used not only for equipment in contact with sea water but also for friction units submerged in water. Operating temperature range: from 0 °C to +75 °C. Apply at temperatures not below 0 °C.

AMS-3

DESCRIPTION

AMS-3 is a high-quality marine working and preservative grease based on high-viscosity cylinder oil thickened with aluminium oleostearate. Compared with AMS-1, it has a higher thickener content, which gives better protection in difficult marine conditions.

AMS-3 reliably protects mechanisms against corrosion, high humidity and sea water. Thanks to its high tackiness and water resistance, it is widely used for friction units and equipment submerged in water, including mechanisms of ships, submarines and seaplanes.

AMS-3 applications:
  • parts in contact with sea water;
